Hiring teaching talent

Help shape your future teachers as they progress towards QTS

Creating stability

Develop a pipeline of talent and retain them to create stability

Cost effective training

At a low daily rate fixed for the duration of 2 years, you get a TA, trainee teacher and qualified teacher all in one package.

Shape your own

The TAs will be working in your school full time for 2 years. This is an excellent opportunity to shape their teaching philosophy to match your school ethos.

Increase retention

Recruitment and retention can be resolved as TAs can be offered a role at the end of the programme. By then you know if they’re a suitable fit for your school.

Decision making

Make a decision over a longer period of time. Use the first year to decide whether the candidate is suitable for your school, with no commitment.

FAQs

Our selection process is a combination of rigorous background checks, including an enhanced DBS, references, Barred list and NCTL checks, in combination with a competency based interview, and an English and Maths test.

Once settled in the school, the candidate will undergo a further interview to be accepted on the PGCE course, and undertake further skills tests.

The school will commit to using the candidate in line with our experience progression model, to build their skills prior to the start of the PGCE year. During terms 4-6, the school will assign an NQT mentor, and follow the process outlined.  We also expect the school to provide the candidate access to whole school CPD provided to permanent members of staff.

The school will benefit from the following:

  • Cost effective training: At a low daily rate fixed for the duration of two years, you get a TA, trainee teacher and qualified teacher all in one package;

The recruitment supply crisis is in full swing. This is a cost effective, quality led solution, and an opportunity for you to mould your staff as they continue their training and adapt the school ethos.

No. After the two years they are free for you to employ directly.

The training in year 1 introduces TA and behaviour management skills. In year 2, they will follow an accredited PGCE programme. Training is provided by TTP via web based technology, face-to-face training, and 1-1 coaching/modelling as appropriate.

After successfully completing the two year programme, the school has 3 options:

1. Release the NQT if there is no requirement for them in the school

2. Employ the candidate on a FTC or permanent contract with no introduction fee

3. Keep the teacher on a supply basis

The Teacher Training Partnership covers all costs associated with PGCE fees. The price you pay per day, covers all fees.

If the candidate is deemed unsuitable for your school within terms 1-3, then there is no extra charge. We will endeavour to find a suitable replacement, or discuss what your needs are going forward. Terms 1-3 are for you to trial the candidate, both in terms of skills and mindset.
